It is long past time for District 9 to achieve fair development. We have been left behind, while other parts of the city continue to grow. District 9 needs leadership to demand equitable and fair growth in this part of the city.
MEET SHAMARI
With an entrepreneurial spirit, “outside the lines” leadership approach, and passion for helping others succeed, Shamari Lewis is an innovative and authentic business consultant, community political worker, and creative impresario with a unique skill set shaped by real-world experience. His proven record of achievement includes leveraging ironclad partnerships with esteemed equity stakeholders, deploying grassroots marketing strategies, and managing digital, mobile, and social media sales while executing transformative business models, advancing brand development, and maximizing revenue growth.
GOALS:
• Will work with State to find homestead relief
• Will partner with School Board, Law enforcement, State Attorney and Judicial to curtail Youth Crime
• Will focus on sidewalks to help improve infrastructure
• Will make streets safer for seniors and women
• Work across party lines to solve everyday problems with common sense solutions
• Ensure District 9 gets her fair share of resources and is not left behind.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
• 4th Generation Jacksonville native from the Northwest Quadrant
• Invested in first company at 19
• Longshoreman at 16

• Florida Memorial University (HBCU)
• Raised $500,000 for Youth Crime Prevention non-profits over 2 years
• Worked with Florida delegation to appropriate $30,000,000 for cranes, equipment and job training programs at Jaxport• Native of Grand Park. 3rd Generation Resident of Grand Park.
